About the Event
Please join us for our Keynote Q+A session with Dr Chisomo Kalinga at 5pm on Thursday 12th November.
Chisomo was unable to give her keynote talk during the main conference due to being locked down on a different continent to her research documents. However, the two have thankfully been reunited and Chisomo is now able to give her talk entitled '"No man is an island": Understanding Indigenous and African perspectives of personal wellbeing within Global Health Studies'.
The talk will be pre-recorded and posted in advance on our dedicated YouTube playlist for you to watch at your leisure in the week or so beforehand. There will then be a live Q+A on Zoom at 5pm on 12th Nov in which Chisomo discusses her work with Dr Laura Kelly (University of Strathclyde). The session will last for around an hour and you can submit questions in advance via Twitter or ask them on the day.
This will followed by our own online version of the bit at the end where there's free wine and orange juice, which will be modelled on our very successful coffee morning held during the conference. It's a bit of fun where we all get put into break-out rooms on Zoom for 5 mins or so and get to meet other attendees. It has been touted behind the scenes as a 'wine-merry-go-round' but all kinds of drinks are welcome!
Zoom details will be sent out nearer the time to all registered attendees.
